What does QME do?

QME is responsible for the support of Radiology Operations and for maintaining the department’s commitment to the provision of educational opportunities for frontline staff and Operations Managers.

Who provides direction for QME’s focus?

Denise Palumbo, MSRN, Administrative Director
James H. Thrall, MD, Chairman
Daniel Rosenthal, MD, Vice Chairman
Benjamin A. Asfaw, Director, QME

How and when does QME get engaged in projects and initiatives?

Each Project Manager is assigned programmatic responsibilities, i.e. instructional design, PACS/QME liaison, business analysis and Service Metrics. However, as operational necessity dictates, a Project Manager will be dispatched to lead or support a specific project. An example would be support of MRI in reaching their business plan volume commitments.

When can they support my department?

Primarily Denise Palumbo, Administrative Director, James H. Thrall, MD, Radiologist-in-Chief, Daniel Rosenthal, MD, Vice Chair of Operations and Benjamin A. Asfaw, Director, QME, provide direction. Priority is established by need. QME, however, is working on initiatives that will ultimately benefit all. Some of those projects are Service Metrics, StatCom and Competency Based Training.
